The first time I heard this album, I thought I was inside the Memorial Auditorium itself. I was in a barracks overseas, while in the Navy, and I remember the room I was in had four BOSE 501 speakers hooked-up to a Four-Channel, Sansui QRX-5500 receiver, and I was playing spades while it was raining buckets outside.
The sound was incredible to say the least, and upon my friend recording this album, I couldn't wait to put the album on a second time and listen to the recorded results through his Teac 3340 Reel to Reel, and to my surprise, it was just as good as the first time, and maybe a bit better.
This album represents the real Tower of Power, in their raw and early days. The solos on this album are just awesome. It is highly recommended.

Mom's Apple Pie - Mom's Apple Pie #2
- I really don't know much about the formation of this band, I actually bought the album initially for the cover, which is designed out of the master reel to reel layout. It is an artistically clever idea. Overall, this is actually not a bad album to hear at least one time. It's got a lot of horns and has a an early 60's to 70's feel to it. "Can You Help Me", is the best track on the album, in my opinion.

- The following album is as you have probably guessed, a collection of songs by various artists, and they are all at some type or another, great tunes, and are worth a listen. You will note some early arrivals in the tracklist. Bob Seger, was a young Detroit rocker, singlin' the Blues, and The Son's were missing there Champlin.
