The first time I heard this album, I thought I was inside the Memorial Auditorium itself. I was in a barracks overseas, while in the Navy, and I remember the room I was in had four BOSE 501 speakers hooked-up to a Four-Channel, Sansui QRX-5500 receiver, and I was playing spades while it was raining buckets outside.
The sound was incredible to say the least, and upon my friend recording this album, I couldn't wait to put the album on a second time and listen to the recorded results through his Teac 3340 Reel to Reel, and to my surprise, it was just as good as the first time, and maybe a bit better.
This album represents the real Tower of Power, in their raw and early days. The solos on this album are just awesome. It is highly recommended.
